Dr. Claire McLintock is a clinical and laboratory hematologist who specializes in obstetric medicine. She graduated from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and completed post-graduate training in hematology in Auckland, New Zealand, where she lives and works. She is based in National Women’s Health, Auckland City Hospital, New Zealand, where she is Clinical Director of Regional Maternity Services. Her clinical and research areas of interest are thrombotic and hemostatic disorders of women and in particular, pregnancy.

Dr. McLintock is a Council member for the ISTH and is chair of the Membership and Communications subcommittee and co-chair of the Education and Outreach Subcommittee. She also recently led a working group of the ISTH that is developing an international core curriculum in clinical thrombosis and hemostasis.

Dr. McLintock was a member of Council and past-President for the Australasian Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. She is also a member of the Asia Pacific Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis.
